Highly Efficient Bulk-Heterojunction Solar Cells via Synergic Enhancement of Processing Additives and Optical Spacers |
초록 |
We report the fabrication and measurement of bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells using a narrow-bandgap conjugated polymer, poly[(4,4-didodecyldithieno[3,2-b:2’,3’-d]silole)-2,6-diyl-alt-(2,1,3-benzothiadiazole)-4,7-diyl] (P1) in composites with the fullerene derivative [6,6] phenyl-C71-butylric acid methyl ester (PC71BM). In particular, we focus on the synergic enhancement in the device performance by introducing a processing additive and titanium sub-oxide (TiOx) interlayer simultaneously. When we introduced 4% of 1-chloronaphtalene (1-CN) as a processing additive to the P1/PC71BM BHJ composite, the morphology of the BHJ layers was improved dramatically, thereby resulting in 70% increase in the short-circuit current (Jsc) with 4.5% power conversion efficiency (PCE). The TiOx optical spacer further increased Jsc with PCE ~5%. In addition, the device with the TiOx interlayer exhibited stable performance, and ~ 90 % of the initial efficiency was maintained after 192 hours. |
