제목 Fabrication of Hybrid Composite Including Poly Methyl Methacrylate, Polyvinyl Alcohol and Nano Hydroxyapatite Particles Using Electrospinning
초록 In this study, a hybrid composite was fabricated for the application of bone plate. A multilayered polymer composite was fabricated by electrospinning of polymer solution. The composition consisted of poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) multiple layers. Fine hydroxyapatite (HAp) particles were dispersed in the PVA layer through stirring process to improve the mechanical properties of the composites. The composites were designed to take advantage of the varying biodegradable rate of the PMMA and PVA. The incorporation of ceramic particles ensured to improve mechanical properties and 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% weight of HAp particles in PVA layer were incorporated. Composites were created in laminated plates with and without pressure and the thickness of all patterns was 1.00 mm. Detailed microstructures were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM).
