Climate change that has been accelerated for decades can be solved by develop eco-friendly and renewable energy. In particular, solar energy is the prospective and infinite energy. The organic solar cells (OSCs) are the key-technology of solar energy, using solution process. Recently, semi-transparent OSCs (STP-OSCs) have been studied for their potential of various applications such as building-integrated photovoltaics(BIPVs), automotive-integrated photovoltaics(AIPVs) with transparent advantages. To achieve high-performance and high-transmittance of STP-OSCs, the absorption area of active layer must avoid visible light area in solar spectrum. However, the trade-off between performance and transmittance has been occurred. In this study, we fabricated high performance STP-OSCs by enhancing the quantum efficiency of photoactive layer through light-emitting materials. Consequently, performance of STP-OSCs can be improved by amplifying photons to help efficient exciton production. |
