제목 | Carbonized Iodine-based CT contrast agent synthesis using simple hydrothermal method |
초록 | Computed tomography (CT) is one of the diagnostic imagingtools. It is non-invasive methods to diagnose lesions efficiently. CT is widelyused medical technics. CT can produce images with short time and low costs. Contrastagent is indispensable to enhance the contrast effects. Common CT contrastagents (CCC) have disadvantages such as low solubility, high osmolality and toxicity,and difficult synthesis procedure. We developedIodine-based carbonized CT contrast agent (ICC) is consist of insolubleiodine-based molecules and hydroxyl-containing molecules. ICC synthesis usingthe one-pot hydrothermal synthesis method. ICC has enough iodine contents toshow CT contrast effects. In vitro CT imaging of ICC and CCC showed ICChas higher HU values at the same concentration. In vitro test, ICC showedno toxicity in liver and kidney cell lines. Osmolarity is similar to the plasma.Compared to CCC, ICC showed higher CT contrast intensity in rat. ICC was quicklyremoved within 2 hours. |
