Graphene-polymer composites are generally applied to reinforce performances of polymer with only small quantities of graphene. Paradoxically, using small proportion of graphene in the composites can induce locally unequal distribution and that problem becomes more significant in types of thin film. Therefore, high ratio of graphene in the composites is required without aggregation of graphene. A facile routs has been developed to prepare nano-sized graphene oxide(nGO) composites by grafting phenol formaldehyde(PF) polymer. To increase the reactivity of GO, the aliphatic hydroxyl groups are decorated on the surface of nGO sheets and then MDI works as linker between GO surface and PF polymer. The resulting composite solution could be well dispersed in an organic solvent up to 10 wt% concentration, in which functionalized nGO takes solid contents of 25%. Also, thin and uniform film could be formed through spin-coating method. |
