Bio-Inspired Multicolor Fluorescence Carbon Nanoparticles of Near‐Infrared Light‐Mediated Synthetic Melanin |

Attempt to exploration of carbon dots (CDs) expands new challenge for near-infrared light (NIR)-mediated multi-color fluorescence, we address carbonized polydopamine liked melanin nanoparticles retaining dopamine identities by polymerized polydopamine particles. Converted carbonized polydopamine demonstrated excitation dependent multicolor fluorescence emission together with NIR responsive photothermal conversion properties. The concentration dependent photothermal heats from carbonized FNP-polydopamine induce hyperthermal eradicated both prokaryotic mammalian cells as well as eukaryotic bacteria. Although carbonized polydopamine qualitatively dehydrated most of dopamine moieties, the rest of remaining dopamine are capable to perform as adhesive fluorescence surfaces coating and the surface passivated FNP-polydopamine with polyethylene glycol intended efficient antifouling materials expected to wide range of expected biomaterials designing. |
