제목 Controlled nanostructures of poly(vinyl alcohol) and poly(styrene sulfonic acid-co-maleic anhydride) as fuel cell membrane
초록 Ion exchange membranes were prepared by interpenetrating network (IPN) method and studied to controll nanostructures of membranes. The membranes are synthesized by using poly(vinyl alcohol) with sulfosuccinic acid(SSA) and poly(styrene sulfonic acid-co-maleic acid)(PSSA-MA). A bridge of SSA and PVA molecules reinforced the network and provided extra ion conducting paths. The cross-linking reaction and molecular interaction between PVA and PSSA-MA were confirmed by FT-IR. The properties, such as ion exchange capacity, proton conductivity, water uptake, and thermal stability, of the polymer electrolyte membrane were investigated by using Impedance analyzer, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). And fuel cell performance of membrane electrode assemblies (MEA) was also evaluated at various conditions.
