Carbazole-based monomers, containing electron-donating side groups were synthesized and utilized to prepare conjugated polymers with 4,7-bis(2-thienyl)-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole (DBT). The monomers with carbazole moiety, such as 9-(4-carbazoyl) phenyl) carbazole (CzPCz), 9-(4-(diphenylphosphinoyl)phenyl)carbazole (CzTPPO) and 9-(4-diphenyl amino) phenyl) carbazole (CzTPA) were prepared by reacting 3,6-dibromocarbazole with 9-(4-bromo phenyl) carbazole, 4-bromo-4’-(diphenylphosphinoyl)phenyl and 4-bromo-4’-(diphenyl amino) phenyl via CuI-catalyzed coupling reaction, respectively. The polymers were characterized by NMR, FT-IR, GC-MS, TGA, DSC, GPC and solubility measurements. In addition, optical and electrical properties were also evaluated by fluorescence spectroscopy, UV-VIS and CV. |
