제목 Effects of OLS containing Poly(styrene-ran-(4-vinylpyridine)) on Rheological Properties of Polystyrene Nanocomposite
초록 We have designed the polymeric modifier free from critical problem such as compatibility and thermal property between organophilic layered silicates (OLS) and polystyrene (PS), and successfully developed a route to amine functionalized poly(styrene-ran-(4-vinylpyridine)). The morphology and thermal stability of the PS/OLS nanocomposites were studied by TEM and TGA. The PS nanocomposites showed better exfoliation and thermal properties, may be due to the control of surface characteristics of silicate, having affinity with the PS. The rheological properties for both oscillation and steady shear experiment indicated that the fabricated nanocomposite materials changed to solid-like as the OLS contents increased. Furthermore, the rheological properties of the nanocomposites were also investigated using a stress-controlled rotational rheometer under small amplitude oscillation and steady transient shear in the melt state.
