제목 Synthesis and properties of novel polyethersulfones with intrinsic microporosity
초록 In this presentation, synthesis and properties of novel polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) will be discussed. Novel polyethersulfones with intrinsic microporosity were polymerized by reactions of sulfone-containing monomer, 5,5’6,6’-tetrahydoxy-3,3,3’,3’-tetramethyl-1,’1-spirobiindane and tetrafluoroterephtalonitrile. The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) results of polyethersulfone homopolymer and copolymers revealed that these polymers had high BET surface area (SBET) of 430 ~ 590 m2g-1 and the presence of micropores of 0.54 ~ 0.66 nm was confirmed by corresponding pore size distribution curves. These polyethersulfones with intrinsic microporosity is promising for use in gas separation membaranes.
