제목 Synthesis and characterization of novel polyethersulfones with intrinsic microporosity
초록 Polyethersulfone with intrinsic microporosity (PESIM) as a new organic microporous material termed polymers with intrinsic microporosity (PIMs) were synthesized by reactions of sulfone-containing monomer, 5,5’6,6’-tetrahydoxy-3,3,3’,3’-tetramethyl-1,’1-spirobiindane and tetrafluoroterephtalonitrile. The glass transition temperature and thermal stability were determined by DSC and TGA respectively. Intrinsic microporosity was determined by the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). BET results of polyethersulfone homopolymer and copolymers revealed that these polymers had high BET surface area (SBET) of 430 ~ 590 m2g-1 and the presence of micropores (≤2 nm) of 0.54 ~ 0.66 nm was confirmed by corresponding pore size distribution curves. These polyethersulfones with intrinsic microporosity is promising for use in gas separation membaranes.
