Although polymer solar cells(PSCs) are considered to be promising new renewable resources for the generation of electrical energy, their low power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) are a major obstacle to their commercial utilization. Various methods have been examined, such as thermal annealing, solvent annealing, incorporation of additives or poor solvents in the active layer in an effort to improve PCE of P3HT:PCBM-based PSCs. We investigated effects of additives such as liquid crystals and organic semiconductors on the performance of PSCs. |
