In this study, Polypyrrole (PPy) and Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) as conducting polymer were deposited onto surface of quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) using by electrospinning technique for gas sensing. Furthermore, frequency shifts were compared with dip and drop coating method. In dip coating method, QCM electrodes were soaked into each polymeric solution for 10s and dried during 2h. Similarly, prepared PPy and PEDOT solution were drop onto both sides of electrodes and dried for 2h. In electrospinning deposition, PVA mixed with PPy and PEDOT for high viscosity. The feed rate, shear stress and tip and collector distance (TCD) were fixed at 0.2ml/h, 20kV and 12cm, respectively. As a results, electrospun polymer nanofibers coated electrodes show much higher sensitivity than general methods are used. |
