제목 1.0 mol.-% Pd inserted Zn0.3Mg0.7Al2O4 spinel catalyst for Hydrogen production by low temperature ethanol steam reforming
초록 Renewable energy sources are being developed to replace fossil fuels due to increased air pollution and energy demand. Ethaonl steam reforming is one of the studies that can produce hydrogen. By the reacition, ethanol has known to convert to hydrogen at 700 °C. However, recent studies show low temperature reforming reaction can reduce poisoning of catalyst and increase hydrogen production. On the other hand, Zi is one of the representative metal which promoting the WGS reaction at low temperature and shows superiority in the reforming reaction through electron interaction with Pd. In this study, MgAl2O4 support catalyst was synthesized by sol-gel method, and 30 mol% of Mg had replaced by Zn and small amount of Pd. Prepared catalysts were analyzed by XRD, BET, TPD and etc. By raising the reaction temperature from 300 °C to 600 °C, we confirmed that the maximum activity temperature of the reaction and maintained for 30 hours to check the lifetime of the catalyst.
