Sensitive SERS probes on the basis of nanogap control using SiO2@Au@Ag alloy on silica nanoparticles |

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is in the spotlight as a highly sensitive and selective analytical technique for biometric imaging applications and environmental monitoring. SERS probes using silver growth were synthesized onto gold nanoparticle(NP) seeding based on SiO2@Au@Ag NPs. We developed the simplistic method to detect chemicals sensitively, and this is a method of preparing nanogaps containing Au-Ag NP on the surface of Silica NP. The Au NPs-mediated Ag growth method was used to synthesize SiO2@Au@Ag NPs. The SERS intensity of SiO2@Au@Ag NPs were identified with 4-aminothiophenol (ATP) as Raman chemical. The consequence of SERS of the NPs was narrow gaps between two Ag NPs of the probes. The E-field at the gaps was strengthened and NPs showed a strong Raman signal. The SiO2@Au@Ag NPs can be applied to detect chemical mass in various fields and can be applied as sensitive SERS substrate. |
