제목 Electrospinning Poly(Vinylidene Fluoride) Membranes for High Efficiency Oil-Water Separation
초록 Environmental and economic demands require functional materials that can selectively and effectively filter or absorb oil or water from oil-water mixtures.
Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) has been under intensive investigation for producing superhydrophobic membranes due to its favorable properties such as the low surface energy, sound chemical inertness, very good thermal stability, and high mechanical strength. In this work, we prepared a PVDF membrane using electrospinning method. Morphological, structural and surface characteristics were investigated. In addition, the effects of PVDF membrane morphology, hydrophobicity, and oil-water separation performance were studied. The obtained fibrous PVDF membranes showed excellent performance in separation of oil-water mixtures.
