제목 Durable Superhydrophilic and Anti-Biofouling Coatings Formed for Oil–Water Separation
초록 Unique superwetting interfaces by means of layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly is of interest for practical applications, oil-water separation in particular. However, durability problem is still a challenge. Herein, branched poly(ethylenimine) (BPEI) and silica nanoparticles (SNPs) were assembled into a hydrogen-bonding-based LbL multilayers in the presence of UV-curable poly(urethane acrylate) (PUA), which is described as (PUA-SNPs/BPEI)n. The as-prepared coatings showed good acid, thermal, and mechanical stability following crosslinking by UV exposure. Crosslinking is of great importance for LbL film, considering the weak interactions among polyelectrolytes. Moreover, the anti-biofouling property was enhanced for gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa contamination. At last, the superhydrophilic polycarbonate track-etched (PCTE) membrane coated with coatings was also investigated for oil–water separation.
