Synthesis and ionic conductivities of Li2S-P2S5-LixPOy oxysulfide glasses prepared by a mechanical milling process |
초록 |
The oxysulfide glasses in the composition of (100-x)(0.75Li2S · 0.25P2S5) · xLixPOy (LixPOy=Li3PO4, LiPO3) for lithium ion conducting solid electrolytes were synthesized using a mechanical milling process(MM) at room temperature. Reagent-grade Li2S, P2S5 and Li3PO4 commercial powders and crystalline LiPO3 synthesized from a mixture of Li2CO3 and P2O5 by a melting and slow cooling were used as starting materials. The crystalline Li2O and P2O5 were also used as starting materials in a stoichiometric ratio instead of Li3PO4 and LiPO3, and the effects of the difference in starting materials on the properties of sampled prepared by mechanical milling were discussed. The amorphous phase of the prepared samples was characterized through X-ray diffactometer, and the electrochemical properties were evaluated by using AC impedance spectroscopy and DC polarization measurements. As the time of mechanical milling was increased from 0 to 40h in all composition range, the amorphous phase became dominant in the mixture composed of crystalline starting materials. The addition of a small amount of lithium oxysalt (Li3PO4 and LiPO3) changed the ionic conductivity and the activation energy of glass electrolytes. Arrhenius behavior is verified between 25oC and Tg for all glasses.
