Preparation of Polyvinylbenzyl Chloride Grafted FEP Membranes by a Simultaneous Irradiation Method |
| 초록 |
Vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC) is a very attractive monomer since it can react with various reagents to produce various functional groups after or before a polymerization. In this study, a simultaneous radiation grafting method using gamma-ray from Co-60 was applied to graft vinylbenzyl chloride monomer into a FEP fluoropolymer membrane. Several factors such as the total dose, dose rate, and monomer concentration, and solvent were investigated to optimize the radiation grafting conditions. The prepared membranes were characterized using FTIR, TGA and SEM EDX. |
