Low Temperature Fabrication of Plastic Dye-sensitized Solar Cell using Electrospray Method |

Light-weight and flexible plastic dye-sensitized solar cell(DSSC) is attracting much attention for commercial applications because of low cost production. Various methods such as spin coating and electrophoretic deposition have been invented to fabricate flexible plastic DSSCs, including low-temperature coating of TiO2 particles. We introduced electrospray method to prepare a binder-free TiO2 paste at low temperature. TiO2 (P25, Degussa) solution dispersed in EtOH by bead-mill was prepared directly onto FTO/glass and ITO-PEN film. For enhancing connection between TiO2 particles as well as TiO2/substrate, TiO2 nanoparticle electrode was hot-pressed and then dried at 150 °C for 10 min. Photovoltaic performance by electrospray method showed the conversion efficiencies of 6.92% and 4.12% for FTO/glass and ITO/PEN film, respectively. |
