제목 High-throughput Preparation of Ink-jet Printing Based Layer-by-Layer Assembly for Biomedical Applications
초록 Layer-by-Layer (LbL) assembly has been used to generate nanofilms and to modify the morphological characteristics of a surface with the functional materials in a variety of fields, such as energy, biomaterials, catalysis, sensing and biomedicine. In particular, the biomedical field would benefit greatly from the ability to control the shape and structure of the nanofilms due to bioactivity of biomolecules. However, the current state of LbL technique is a laborious fabrication process and needs a large amount of materials for fabricating nanofilms. Herein, to improve productivity and to scale up LbL process, we selected ink-jet printing technique that can highly control ink-drop placement and drop small droplet yet accurate volumes. We have focused on the high-throughput assembly of functional LbL films based on inkjet printing technique with controlling morphologies, profiling thickness of various LbL films, delivery of bioactive proteins, patchable films and drug screening.
