Preparation and absorption performance of superabsorbent polymer (SAP) with nanocellulose |
초록 |
A superabsorbent polymer (SAP) is partially neutralized, lightly crosslinked, three-dimensional polymer network that can swell in the process of absorbing water to retain thousands of times its weight. We synthesized the SAP with itaconic acid (IA) and vinyl sulfonic acid. In addition, various kinds of cellulose additives were added. Among them, the SAP with nanocellulose showed excellent performance. The characteristics of a novel IA-based SAP by adding nanocellulose were analyzed. We confirmed the successful introduction of nanocellulose into the SAP by FT-IR. The surface structure and thermal property of the SAP were confirmed by SEM and TGA, respectively. The effects of addition and content of nanocellulose on the SAP absorption performance were studied. We confirmed the water absorption performance of the SAP by measuring its centrifuge retention capacity and absorbency under load. |
