Silver (Ag) nanoplates have been studied for their interesting optical, chemical and electrical properties, but Ag nanoplates still have great challenges in applying them to electrical sensors and stretchable devices. In the present work, we would like to report a synthetic method of chain-like Ag nanoplate with a high aspect ratio. In the synthesis, a coordinating ligand played a critical role in the formation and growth of the unidirectional growth of nanoplates. This new synthesis method did not require any special equipment, and synthetic results were reproducible. The chain-like Ag nanoplates were directly used as metal inks to produce conductive patterns of the stretchable electrode by depositing the into the polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) substrate. The device showed a good performance suitable for application as a sensor for human motion by showing a sensitive resistance change with tremor and bending. |
