제목 | Effect of MEA fabrication method on the performance of PEMFC |
초록 | Fabrication type of membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is important factor for proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). MEA fabrication type can be classified catalyst coated substrate (CCS) type and catalyst coated membrane (CCM) type. This study considered simplification of fabrication process and improvement of cell performance. MEA of PEMFC with CCS type and CCM type were prepared, and performances were evaluated in single fuel cells with H2/O2 operation and compared each other. The effect of MEA preparation methods, CCS type and CCM type, on the cell performance was analyzed by impedance spectroscopy and SEM. The performance of PEMFC with CCM type was better than with CCS type because membrane-interfacial resistance was reduced by elimination of hot pressing process in MEA fabrication. |
