The lithium secondary batteries operate the thermodynamic stability window of the common organic electrolytes, such that the electrolytes decompose to form a protective surface film known as a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI). The formation of an ideal SEI layer, which may be defined as a compact, thin, uniformly covered, and electrochemically stable surface film, is required to high performance lithium-ion batteries. The room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) are attractive electrochemical solvents to improve safety of lithium-ion batteries due to have many adaptable advantages common to ionic liquid. In this study, we evaluated to the influences of the ionic liquid in the electrolyte on cycling performances of the lithium secondary batteries. |
