제목 Synthesis of Polystyrene-grafted Multi-walled Carbon Nanotube by Radiation-induced grafting.
초록 In this study, polystyrene-grafted multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were synthesized by a high energy irradiation technique. The grafting degrees of polystyrene onto the MWCNTs increased with an increasing absorbed dose and monomer concentration due to a higher formation of free radicals with an increasing dose of the grafting system and more sites for radical reaction provided in higher monomer concentration. The highest grafting degree, 15 wt%, was obtained with 70 vol% styrene in toluene at an absorbed dose of 20 kGy. 1H NMR and TEM results showed that the polystyrene chains were successfully grafted onto the surface of the MWCNTs.
