Dispersion Polymerization of Styrene with cross-type Polyurethane Macromonomer as a Reactive Stabilizer |
초록 |
The stable polystyrene microspheres was synthesized to the dispersion polymerization of styrene in ethanol at the existence of the vinyl terminated cross-type polyurethane macromonomer. The grafted polystyrene with macromonomer were evident by 1H-NMR spectrum, grafting ratio were calculated using two broad peaks between 6 and 7.5 ppm represented the aromatic protons from PS and narrow peak at 3.7 ppm arises from the methylene protons of PEG. The molecular weight and thermal property by measured glass transition temperature and TGA onset temperature increased with grafting ratio relative to styrene, but decreased the size of the synthesized polystyrene microspheres since the macromonomer acts as reactive stabilizer in dispersion polymerization. |
