Preparation of graphene/ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer nanocomposites |

In recent years, graphenes have attracted much attention due to the excellent mechanical and electrical properties. These outstanding properties offer the potential application of graphene nanocomposites for the developments of material for electronic parts. In this study, dispersion of graphene obtained by sonication of graphites in water was added into the latex of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer to prepare the nanocomposite of graphene and EVA copolymer. Mechanical and electrical properties of the nanocomposites were investigated experimentally. Fine dispersion of graphene in the nanocomposites was confirmed. It is postulated that the concentrates of graphene in EVA copolymer can be prepared by the process developed in the study. |
