Preparation and Characterization of TiO2/Polystyrene/Silica Multilayer core-shell particles for E-Paper Applications |
초록 |
TiO2/polystyrene/silica multilayer core-shell particles were prepared to examine its potential application as E-paper display. In this work, the TiO2 particles were surface-modified with a coupling reagent, methacryloxypropyldimethylmethoxysilane, to introduce vinyl groups onto the particle surfaces. Then, TiO2/polystyrene was synthesized by mini-emulsion polymerization using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) as surfactant. The final multilayer core-shell particles were made by introducing silica and were obtained with a variety of particle sizes. Those TiO2/polystyrene/silica multilayer core-shell particles were characterized by using Particle Size Analyzer, FTIR spectroscopy, Thermogravimetric Analyzer, SEM and TEM. |
