In this study, we present successful synthesis and electrochemical analysis of Platinum (Pt) supported sulfur-attached reduced graphene oxide (RGO-S) with various rates of thiol to GO. The functional groups of GO were substituted by thiol (SH) and the Sulfur(S) that has high affinity to metal combines with Pt by strong covalent bond. The result, the RGO-S-Pt showed better than Pt/RGO in terms of electrocatalytic activity. Especially, the RGO-S-Pt composite that has weight rate of one (GO) to five(SH) represented the highest performance. The remarkable properties of RGO-S-Pt were demonstrated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). |
