제목 | Synthesis and Characterization of Au(I)-S(n-alkyl) Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Polymer and Their Luminescence Properties. |
초록 | Luminescence properties of the metal/organic hybrid complexes have attracted attention due to their potential applications in bioassay, optoelectronics. Firstly metal/organic materials containing the gold were reported as new antirheumatic drugs in 1970`s.1 Recently many gold(I) complexes having various organic ligands such as thiolate, halide, phosphine were synthesized because of their unique luminescence properties. For example, Balch et al. reported that triangular Au(I) complex, [Au3(CH3N=COCH3)3], displayed long-lived visible light (552 nm) luminescence when trigonal prismatic supramolecular structure was formed by addition of organic solvents.2 Eisenberg et al. reported that Au(I) dimer molecule, [Au2(S2CN(C5H11)2)]2, shows luminescence (631 nm) when it contacts with volatile organic solvents.3 Schaaff group was synthesized the Au(I)-S(R) polymer based on Brust et al. method - two phase method and used it as the precursor of the gold nanoparticles.4 In the procedure of the synthesizing the gold nanoparticles, we obtained the Au(I)-S(R)(R=-(CH)nH, n=2~10, 12, 14, 16, 18) polymers via one phase method which do not use the phase transfer agent such as tetractylammonium bromide. Au(I)-S(R) polymers emits strong red light(λem ~610 nm), which can be observed with naked-eye. When the Au(I)-S(R) polymer is excited by ~310 nm, the intensity of the emission peak increased according to the alkyl chain length until it reaches saturation (n~10), while the maximum λem's did not changed considerably. We supposed that this tendency be related with the supramolecular structure of the Au(I)-S(R) polymer, so the XRD experiments is performed. Contrary to the other gold complexes, the luminescence property of Au(I)-S(R) polymer is not influenced by the state or the circumstance.
