Lithium storage in 3-dimensional porous framework electrodes |
초록 |
Li metal electrodes face critical challenges: (i) large volume changes upon Li plating–stripping; and (ii) uncontrollable growth of Li dendrites. Recently, the utilization of three-dimensional (3D), porous "host" frameworks as Li storage media has aroused great interest as a promising strategy that can address the technical issues of Li metal. However, they still suffer from uneven Li plating–stripping, which turned out to be more severe than those of planar electrodes. This talk introduces the technical challenges facing the development of 3D host electrodes from the viewpoint of multiple reaction kinetics and presents a kinetics-based mechanistic analysis of Li storage through a combined modeling and experimental study. Based on the understanding of the multiple reaction kinetics in the porous host electrode, an effective approach is proposed to manipulate the nucleation and growth behaviors of Li. |
