We present, pH and redox potential responsive poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(aspartic acid) nanogels (PEG-PAsp). The PEG-PAsp nanogels were prepared from amphiphilic cross-linkable graft copolymers (poly(succinimide)-g-PEG (PSI-g-PEG)). Self-aggregates of PSI-g-PEG were cross-linked by diamine cross-linkers, and residual PSI units were converted to PAsp. The size of nanogels was ~ 80 nm in diameter, and the size decreased at acidic environment. The hairy nanogels that have a negatively charged core can encapsulate cationic DOX by electrostatic interaction, and the release was facilitated in a reductive environment. |
