CNTs were directly synthesized on polymeric substrates bymicrowave synthesis technology. Microwaves were directly irradiated on the catalysts to generate microarcs.The reaction time wasin the order of a few seconds, but the actual arcing time could be a few microseconds.This technology has been extended to the fabrication of flexible field emitters and to the modification of carbon fibers. |
