제목 Catalytic combustion of SOFC exhaust gas over supported Pt and Pd catalysts
초록 Catalytic combustion of SOFC exhaust gas was carried out by using three different supported Pt and Pd catalysts. Reference reactant gas consisted of 5.8%v H2, 5.8%v CO, 5.8%v CH4, 17.4%v O2 and balance N2. Water vapor or N2was added for effect of exhaust gas composition upon combustion. H2 and CO completely combusted at 25℃ and 100-200℃ respectively whereas CH4 combustion started at 250℃ with its complete combustion occurring at 280-480℃ depending on catalyst and GHSV used. As N2 was added to reference reactant gas, profile of CH4 conversion vs. reaction temperature shifted toward lower temperature due to effect of reactant dilution. However, addition of water vapor shifted the profile toward higher temperature due to effect of product inhibition.
