Stability evaluation of furan modified polymer synthesized under various conditions |

Monomers having furan functional groups were synthesized and then using these monomers the polymer was polymerized by free radical polymerization under the various condition such as initiator and solvent amount. The polymer prepared according to each polymerization condition was measured for molecular weight using GPC and changes in molecular weight were observed according to polymerization conditions. The above-mentioned monomers having a furan functional group and the cross-linking agent were introduced and polymer was polymerized by designing different moiety of cross-linking agent. The polymerized polymer was analyzed by DSC and the cross-linking degree was confirmed to be different according to polymerization conditions. Then, a film crosslinked by Diels-Alder Reaction was prepared using a product having a furan functional group and maleimide. The film was immersed in the solution at room temperature and 80 ℃ for 24 hours. The detailed results will be presented in conference. |
