During the past decade, significant progress has been made in the fabrication of organic electronics based on field-effect transistors (FETs). Here, we present the blending system of solution-processing OTFTs based on fluorene- and thiophene-based polymer and thiophene-based oligomers. The oligomers showed high TFT performance when vacuum-deposited, however, the performance of oligomer films was dramatically reduced in solution process due to their low solubility. On the other hand, the solution-processible polymer showed relatively low TFT performance than that of vacuum-deposited oligomers. The blends from polymer and oligomer is expected to have both merits of polymeric and oligomeric semiconductors; good solubility and high performance. Our study showed that the optimization of blending ratio could improve the OFET performance up to 6 times. Detailed device performance and thin-film morphology characterization will be presented. |
