제목 Thermal stability and flame retardancy of PMMA composites filled with metal oxalate salts
초록 Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) shows good mechanical strength and transparency but is a flammable material. In this study, the thermal stability and flame retardancy of poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) have been studied with a focus on the effect of the metal oxalate salts. The metal oxalate salts are eco-friendly materials and they are organic-inorganic flame retardants which have endothermic properties to absorb the amounts of heat. We have observed that metal oxalate salts absorb the heat by Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), Cone calorimeter and Limited Oxygen Index(LOI) have also been performed used to analyze the flame retardancy.
