제목 Study on the thermal and electrical properties of sPS/PPO/Multiwalled carbon nanotube nanocomposites
초록 Poly(phenylene oxide)(PPO) is engineering thermoplastic having an excellent heat resistance. To improve the processing of PPO, it is usually used by blending with polystyrene(PS) which reduces the thermal resistance. sPS(syndiotactic polystyrene) having a regular benzene ring arrangements is semicrystalline polymer with some stiffness. It is not only miscible with PPO but also more efficient than PS in heat resistance. In this study, by the addition of MWCNT used as nanofiller in the sPS/PPO as well as using sPS having higher heat resistance than PS, thermal and electrical properties of sPS/PPO/CNT nanocomposites can be improved. sPS/PPO/CNT nanocomposites were prepared by melt mixing using a twin screw extruder. Thermal properties and electrical conductivity were measured by DSC and digital multimeter, respectively. Crystalline structure were characterized by XRD. Phase behavior was observed by TEM.
