Liquid-liquid equilibria for ternary systems of Ethyl tert-Butyl Ether (ETBE) + water + BMIM[BF4] at several temperatures |

Ionic liquids as a new type of solvent are being studied for a variety of separation applications.In addition to the practical application, we are motivated to gain more fundamental understanding about the solubility behavior(or molecular interactions)of this class of compounds in RTILs. In this work, the ternary liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data for the ternarysystem ETBE + water + [BMIM][BF4] at several temperatures were analytically determined at atmospheric pressure by using stirred and thermo-regulated cells. Each experimental data were correlated by NRTL and UNIQUAC equations and the correlated values were compared with the measured values. |
