Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), which is known as a by-product from oxidative metabolism, plays significant roles as a fundamental mediator in the cases of inflammation and ageing-associated diseases. The abnormal overproduction of H2O2 is induced by severe oxidative stress, and leads to weakened immune system and ageing process. Therefore, highly sensitive detection and imaging of H2O2 level is essential for understanding early diagnosis of the disease. In this work, we synthesized nitrophenyl carbamate-modified methylene blue (MB-NPC) for selective detection of H2O2, and prepared turn-on type nanoprobe by using MB-NPC and Pluronic F127. Upon addition of H2O2, the nanoprobe shows red shifted absorption spectrum and the color is changed from colorless to violet as well as the fluorescence enhancement. To evaluate the utility of turn-on type nanoprobe for H2O2 imaging, we focused on searching detail condition and application model. |
