Since the discovery of conjugated polymers(CPs), many applications have been made in electronics. However, while most of the p-type CPs, which are relatively easy to synthesize, were mainly studied, there were less studies on n-type CPs. In order to make n-type CPs, it is necessary to down-shift of the LUMO level to facilitate electron transport, and for this, a strong electron withdrawing functional group is required. However the electron-deficient moiety due to the withdrawing group makes it difficult to introduce a special functional group required for polymerization. In this study, polymerization was performed with dibrominated NDI using a DPP structure with n-type characteristics but capable of stannylation at the terminal position. With the newly synthesized CP, n-type OTFTs and n-type OTE devices were fabricated, and average electron mobility of 3.78 × 10−2 cm2 V−1s−1 and average power factor of 1.82 × 10−3μWm−1K−2 were obtained, respectively. |
