제목 Analytical Design of Robust PID Filter Controller for Processes with Time Delay
초록 An analytical method for the design of a robust proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller cascaded with a second-order lead-lag filter is proposed for a broad class of processes with time delay. On the basis of the reputable internal model control (IMC) design principle, an ideal feedback controller equivalent to the IMC controller is obtained, and is further simplified to the PID in series with a second-order lead-lag filter by using the expression of the time-delay part with the high-order Pad approximation in terms of little loss of accuracy. Several illustrated examples are investigated for various types of time-delay processes and the results are fairly compared with those of recently renowned methods to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method. The robustness of the controller is also investigated by inserting perturbation uncertainty in all process parameters simultaneously. The results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed controller in both the nominal and robust cases.
