제목 Synthesis and Properties of an Ionic Conjugated Polymer via the Non-catalyst Polymerization of 2-Ethynylpyridine Using Ionic Alkyl Bromide
초록 Ionic polymer systems were achieved by introducing one or two ionic charges into each repeating unit, thus endowing such polyacetylene polymers with some of the highest charge densities known. An ionic polyacetylene was synthesized via the spontaneous polymerization of 2-ethynylpyridine using ionic alkyl halide such as bromocholine bromide. The polymer structure was characterized by various instrumental methods to have the polyacetylene backbone structure with the designed substituent. The inherent viscosities of the resulting polymers were in the range of 0.10–0.15 dL/g and X-ray diffraction analysis data indicated that this polymer is mostly amorphous. The polymer exhibited the irreversible electrochemical behaviors between the doping and undoping peaks. The electro-optical and electrochemical properties were measured and discussed.
