Ion beam-based surface modification of a fluoropolymer to improve its adhesion to a metal |
초록 |
In this study, we described the surface modification of fluoropolymers by ion implantation to enhance their adhesion to a metal. The surface of fluoropolymer films was modified using ion implantation, and metal was then deposited onto the surface-modified films. The surface properties of the modified films were investigated in terms of their wettability, chemical composition, and surface morphology. The metal-to-polymer adhesion strength was estimated using a nano-indenter. The surface environment of the fluoropolymer films was physiochemically changed by the ion implantation, which could have a significant effect on metal-to-polymer adhesion. |
