In this study, bioassay of MPA produced from Penicillium brevicompactum was investigated using antibiosis of MPA. MPA revealed the antifungal activity on Verticillium lecanii, Trichophytonrubrum species and Candida albicans. Candida albicans was chosen to be target germ, because it's effect is more definite. MPA was found to be a extracellular product due to clean zone formed by filtered and filterate of culture broth. MPA extracted by ethyl acetate is used in this bioassay, extraction coefficient extraction time and extraction concentration were investigated. |
