This study was investigated to test the combustion properties of wood specimen for the constructional interiors, especially focusing on fire indices-III, IV which is fire risk properties. Fire risk properties were measured by using a cone calorimeter (ISO 5660-1) and analyzed according to Chung’s Equations-III, -IV The external heat flux was maintained at 50 kW/m2. Fire performance index-III increased by 8.6 ~ 31.8 times compared with Western red cedar, respectively. And it increased in the order of Larch < Needle fir < PMMA < Western red cedar. The fire growth index-III increased by 6.8 ~ 25.8 times compared with Larch. Fire risk index-IV by fire risk rating index increased by 25.2 ~ 826.8 times compared with Larch and it increased in order of Larch < Needle fir < PMMA < Western red cedar. According to comprehensive assessment of fire risk properties, Larch showed lowest fire risk materials among the woods. |
