제목 | Two dimensional materials for water electrolysis |
초록 | Photocatalytic and electrocatalytic water splitting has emerged as a promising alternative for generating power from renewable resources. However, the widespread use of this method has been limited owing to the low efficiency of existing materials. Recently, two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have been attracting researchers’ attention owing to their unique optical and electronic properties. Studies have also shown that the hybridization of TMDs with different nanomaterials, such as metals, oxides, and carbon materials, can improve their catalytic activity toward hydrogen production. In this talk, different types of TMD-based composites in photocatalytic and electrocatalytic water splitting are discussed.
