제목 Preparation and Thermal Property Analysis of Microencapsulated CaCl2 6H2O as a Phase Change Material
초록 Inorganic salt hydrates are the most attracting phase change materials (PCMs) due to their high latent heat and low price. Through the microencapsulation of these salt hydrates, are improved their heat transfer, thermal stability, and compatibility with various materials. However, microcapsulated products of salt hydrates are rarely known because of difficulty in encapsulation of their intrinsic hydrophilic surface. Shell materials need to be made to prevent the salt hydrate from the loss of water. We have tried to microencapsulate CaCl2 6H2O as a PCM, which is one of typical salt hydrates. Several organoalkoxysilanes were used to provide a hybrid properties necessary to mediate hydrophilic core and hydrophobic shell. As a primary trial, the preparation of polyurea linkage of shell was studied. Prepared microcapsules were analysed in their chemical structures and thermal characteristics as PCM using IR, SEM, DSC, and TGA.
