제목 | Colloidal quantum dots for infrared optoelectronics |
초록 | Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) are compelling semiconductor materials for optoelectronic applications owing to their tunable bandgap, solution-processibility, and ambient stability. Of chief importance is the ability to tune their absorption and emission into the infrared, a region of interest in optical communications, night vision, biological imaging, and infrared photovoltaics. However, there remain many challenges to be addressed for practical applications in optoelectronics, mostly on device performance and stability. Here we introduce strategies to provide the improvement of CQDs in application of optoelectronic devices. In CQDs, the high surface-area-to-volume ratio results in high possibility to tune their character by control of their surface chemistry. By design of new surface chemistry modification strategy, we achieve high-performance photovoltaic devices and fast response photodetector in the infrared range. |
